low-and-high-paying jobs taken by foreigners

Keep hearing foreigners are needed because we Singaporeans are not willing take up low-paying menial jobs. But I keep seeing more and more good jobs taken by foreigners. Especially in the past few years when job markets in Europe and US are in trouble. Expats are here taking over managerial, engineering, all kinds of good jobs. Did Singaporeans become less competitive in those areas too?

I don't think so. In fact many expats who are brought in to run the regional businesses from Singapore have never lived and worked in Singapore. But they took away the good jobs that belonged to locals. Why?

becasue our government beleve those company say that singaporean dont want to take up those job, in fact that is those company problem, they want singpaorean to have a very low salary and very long time working hours. they think that foreigners will do it for low salary and long working hours.eg. some company want a technician for just $1000, do you think singaporean want to take up this job!and the quaility job of the foreigners is very bad, same as made in china!!!eg of the SMRT, TC...

don't be so picky lah bro....u think singaporean is the best? the truth is singaporean is one of the most expensive worker......

sorry to say....singaporean don't want low-paying sallary...also didn't meet the high-paying sallary requirement

my sugestion... what's wrong with low-paying sallary? u can start from that and go up...get the experience... and then you can sell you experience with the high sallary..

why the foreigner take the low n high? because they want to start from below and get it the experience and then sell their experience at high price....

which company wanna pay 3K for fresh grade?
which company wanna pay 10K for 2 years experience?
which company wanna pay 5K for junior manager?

typical singaporean... always complain never grateful.....
you must be grateful to be singaporean.... because singapore is still better than indonesia n malaysia and other neighbouring country..... but... you always complain... n complain... what a world......if you ever life in other country... then you know... how good singpore is.....
