How to calculate overtime?

Assuming...

1) Is this correct?

9.30am to 7.15pm, minus 1 hour for lunch, is a total of 8.75 worked hours per day.

44 working hours/week divided by 8.75 hours per day = I have to work 5.0286 days/week to cummulate 44 worked hrs/week.

So, I need to work the extra 0.0286 days/week then overtime will be calculated?

0.0286 work days is 2.5025 hours.= 30.03 minutes per day.

So I need to work 30.03 minutes extra a day, if not overtime will not be calculated.

2) OR is this correct?

Worked hours 8.75 hours per day

8.75 * 5 working days / week = 43.75 total working hours

44 - 43.75 = 0.25 extra hour / week

That's 15 minutes extra per week. So to get overtime paid, leave office after 7.18pm every day?

Actually, if you assumed your lunch is only half an hour, all your sums will work out just fine.

My office hours also worked on the OT system, anything after stipulated office hours is OT pay, and everything including lunch hour is stated clearly, it is only half an hour, but technically they give one hour lah. By the way, I work 42.5 hours per week, without OT, i derived that figure from my company employee database self serve system.

Both are the same. You made a mistake in your first calculation:

0.0286 work-day per week * 8.75 hours per work-day = 0.25 work-hour per week = 15 work-minutes per week.
