I'm a guy dude.. i've entered malaysia like god knows how many times.. considered myself part malaysian already.. because have a house there.. up to you to believe whether the email is true or not.. you go anywhere in the world, you pump 1st then pay... malaysia isnt anything different.

how much roughly does each individual full tank cost you? ask yourself? depends on cars right? but per litre cost how much? dont tell me you in and out to activate the pump?

Not really, some pump 1st pay later (mostly in JB) but some pay 1st then pump, unless you tell the attendant upfront you want full tank. I'm staying in PJ and working in KL, I use shell most of the time. So far all pay 1st then pump. Pumps are now all computerised. They can control it from the counter.
The attendants outside also can activate the pump for you with their ID card to speed up the paying process.

Having hard time thinking how much it takes to pump? Well, most Malaysians who pay cash don't pump full tank. I'm sure if you own a car, you will roughly know how much it takes to pump full tank. Give a little "discount" and you can have pump round figure, like, say, RM50.

Those who want to pump full tank will "overpay" first, pump, then go back to collect change.
