After I came across this forum recently, I have some queries
regarding working in Singapore need your help J
Firstly, what is MOM defined number of compulsory pay months a
year? 12 or 13? I am not fresh graduate and have
been working here for almost 5 years though, I still lack of such
knowledge. I thought all companies in Singapore
should obey the MOM rules and no different treat to people, thus I
am getting only 12mth and not question any one since the fist day I
work. Now I am confused after I came across the forum and saw
somebody mentioned the 13months recently.
Another question is about the pay. Consider 5 years how much can
I expect? To be honest I felt I was short-charged in past few years
and that is why I continued my studies in acquiring certificates
like PMP and a Masters degree from NUS. now with these certs and 5+
years working experiences in IT field, how much do I expect is more
reasonable/proper? Now I am just getting 4k/12 based, am I underpay
a lot?
