In sg, people will need to change their mindset to work low
skill jobs and be paid very low. Low salary cannot afford buy
HDB and finance the HDB housing loan, no savings, no job security
(foreigners take over jobs any time).
Even many grads have difficulty securing permanent
positions. Now most govt sectors offer 1 or 2 year contract
jobs. After which contracts expire they will have to look for
jobs again. Singaporeans are stuck in this vicious
cycle created by the caring govt. With no job security, it is
almost impossible for people to set up families and contribute to
the birth rate.
