good morning all….

as i’m about to tender my resignation letter next week, i would like to know what if my boss refuse to accept my resignation? does that mean i can’t resign? or can i just submit the letter anyway and leave 1 month from the date of resignation letter regardless of whether he accept or not?

if the company say have to give 3 month notice before leaving then u can't leave before 3 months from when u gave the letter.

No such thing as can't accept resignation. Only thing is boss counter-offer another proposal such as increase pay, promote or change of jobscope etc.

i got ex-boss delay talking to me or confirm accepting my resignation because he didn't want me to leave. however you are acting according to the employment contract so as long as you give notice and are clear about the last day of service, no one can stop you from leaving

I used to have a staff that used resignation letter to tell me that he wanted pay increment.

I scolded him and told him that if he not happy, can just sit down and talk like an adult. If he played this kind of stunt again, I will submit his letter to HR.

that's what i'm scared of. if my boss plays tricks like this, i think i'm going to submit anyway and just leave on the last day. my contract didn't say anything else other than 1 month notice, so i don't think i'll get into trouble with the law.

i recently caused the company to lose 10K (hasn't happened yet, but may be), and i hope my boss won't ask me to pay that before i leave.

remember hearing from ex-colleague that MOM protect us by limiting our liability....not too sure.

I remembered when I tender my resignation letter, my boss called me and bring me down for a coffee and counter offer me. After that, ask me to consider the offer.

i remember last time i submit my letter, then my chio bu female boss asked me into her room, then i realize oh shit the letter is meant for my friend, contains all the porn links… my chio bu boss saw it and visited all the porn links and then ask me go into her room help her out… i resigned a month later because during those 30 days she keep asking me into her room help her… then my hair messy come out… ok for those who managed to read this far obviously i am just bored and joking. don’t take me too seriously on this one.
