As transhipment is simply fast clearance for onward journey, the
expensive warehouse and container terminal space can be freed for
higher value uses.
How? Invest in a retired aircraft or chopper carrier from
US.
Disassembly weapons and guns.
Moor it off shore.
AC comes with lifts and many storey high. Eg. USS Enterprise can
house 5000 crew and over 1km long. Got high bridge for new Keppel
Office. Got nuclear generator.
Shift inland warehouse, customs, and container terminal on board
the floating island.
Transhipment vessel simply pull alongside, unload containers,
and reload those it wanted to where-ever.
This way transhipment vessels need not be towed into Keppel.
Save all parties costs, tug-boats, berthing, harbour traffic etc.
etc.
Can even have few more; each to transfer a polytech....more land
freed.
