Is it all banks in singapore are offering jobs on contract basis that can be renewed or converted to permament position?

Is there any banks that offer permament positions?

For banks recruiting for perm positions, yes. They usually recruit those management positions or those who are very experienced in the job, like RM', AVPs and VPs.

banks usually offer you 6 months to 1 year contract. if you perform well and there is a vacancy for perm positions, you will be sent for an interview with the HR.

I got 2 job offer.

A 9 month contract job by bank and a perm job by a SME.

The bank pay is better but I feel no job sceurity as only contract job so I chose the SME

do well in the bank job before worry about job security. who knows you may get converted to a perm position. pls dun embellish your resume as banks will check your resume one. which employment agency helped you find this job? kelly or adecco or recruit express?

I did not go through any agency. I applied for the job at the bank website.

I already sign the letter of appointment with the SME and I need to work at least 6 months with them or else I need to pay 1 month salary.

Even civil service is contract jobs these days. If you perform at least average, can renew one la. If u fucked up, still got face to stay on meh.

Civil service is finding it hard to attract people to join them because they offer contract jobs and not perm jobs
