How do barbers/hairdressers earn?

Just curious...how do barbers or hairdressers earn? Like you go to a barbershop, can see like 3 or 5 barbers working together..then when they finish one customer, they will like put their takings in one central register...do they like split the takings amongst themselves or paid daily by the "owner"...i keep thinking about it whenever go cut my hair..

they are paid daily la regardless of how much the takings are...

whereas for hairdressers and such, if they are on a payroll, no customers still have paycheck ah? Not everyday people will visit salons or barbers wat
