checking your education certificates

How do companies check that the education certificates that you show them are real certificates issued by the school?

Do they call the school to check and will the school tell them or it is regarded as confidentail information?

Nowadays with technology so good it is very easy to create a fake certificate..

There is the admin department of universities. So companies just need to phone them or email them, their contacts either found in internet or provided by candidates.

The university side just need to ascertain so and so is from the university and if required, any additional information.

If the HR dept is really so free and got time, they will not hesitate to run checks with the issuing dept of the school. The really cb ones will even ask for your previous payslip.

What matters is your work performance.

They will likely do a check if they think your work performance does not match your degree. And by then, even if the degree is true, you will still be replaced by a better performing person

typically they only do random check or don't check for most positions. but for more senior positions they will

And the Hr girl even told me to bring along

my cert etc.. but the blur manager never asked

me to show it to him during the interview le.

I think during interview session , u must sort of

divert their attention away.

lol not only that, some will ask for your O and A level certs and also your COS cert. might as well as for my PSLE cert too lol.
