No, I will not kenna that.
After today, I will really really never eat at sakae ever
again.
Today's conveyor belt sushi lunch has totally blew my mind. I've
never come across a conveyor belt system so complexed, you put your
orden on the screen, and a separate trolley brings it straight to
your table. Imagine dhoby ghaut mrt station was your table, and the
lines are the conveyors.
And now the food. True enough 100yen for every plate on that
conveyor, that's $1.60 a plate. Damn, the variety was mind
boggling, all cuts of salmon, all cuts of maguro, the kind you pay
red plate prices to eat was less than white plate prices. They had
every variety of fish and seafood ever imaginable, for 100 yen per
plate.
We had 20 plates, 2 chawamushi, and 2 plates of tempura, total
bill $48. And by clearing the plates at the table by pushing the
empty plates into a built in slot, it will activate a tikam machine
that will roll out a small prize. 5 plates per draw.
On a side note, they served genuine wasabi, the type that is
grated root. Totally awesome.
A visit to AEON supermarket, holy macaroni, if you think the
largest variety of packaged sushi goes to cold storage of medi-ya.
You haven't seen anything yet.
I
have not even visited tsukiji market, and I am saying
that.
