Catherine Lim is gorgeous! Love to see her in her glamorous
cheongsams. Eh, she may be old but she’s still babe lah! Regards
her works, I havent read many but ‘Following the Wrong God Home’
did it for me. Her writings tend to touch on human emotions alot,
and it’s unique cos of the local flavour, much like Baratham’s
works or Claire Tham or Philip Jayaratnam – where bits of singapore
politics and local paranoias tend to creep in. So, the novel I
mention is about a girl who married a boring sucessful upper
echelon civil servant and then fell in love therafter with an
ang-moh guy. It’s a journey of self-discovery lah basically. But I
remembered there was a beautiful poem in that novel, will try to
dig it up and share it here if i have more time.
