In the dreary morning cold
when I awake with none to hold
Thoughts of you rise in my mind
But alas I failed to find
you, glorious creamy conconction
A soothing balm, a love potion
Despite the icy stinging rain
Your absence is a driving pain
for me to wander out to find
Half awaken, Half dressed, Half blind
Where is it you might be sold
that I may buy you, to have to hold
That I may plunge my spoon in you
delve deep into the sweetness true
your rich and chocolatey taste
swirls of hazenutey paste
lingers longer on my tongue
your velvet virtues remain unsung
as I savour -eyes closed- the calming balm
that brings brightness to a dreary dawn
