linger no more,
where once stood flowers
now remains barren
due to toxic from the heavens
chilled breath cracks the air
breaking the silence into shards
and leaves nothing but fragments behind
look around you
nothing is left,
where trees once stood
stumps remain
where there was life,
there is now death.
