NEVER GOING HOME AGAIN
I've finally got here, Ive come so far
to arrive at a mid-station, a new place
Ive never been before, and now I leave
With homesick feelings of fine fairer days.
To see the road stretched far and away,
winding where it goes, it is never straight,
I wonder where itll lead, where itll stray;
the urge to turn tail and run back is great.
But I am never going home again,
theres no ticket for going back in time.
Past cravings are for ghosts left back home,
I'll bear the pain of leaving old things behind.
Let the past slip into a thought preserved
in a frozen mind frame where it deserves.
