my poems

oceanic SG

Time, is it an infinity?
Death, is that e end of life?
Sadness, will it always be there?
Or joy that I'll choose to be with me?

oceanic SG

Why?

Why is there pain?
Isn't joy a better place?
Why is there tears?
When love can heal?

Why is there a tingle in my heart?
When u're not around?
Why do I miss you
Even when you're so near?

Why I made this choice?
When I know I'll be heartbroken?
Why is fate playing with us?
If only we can be together?

oceanic SG

this was written when I helped to paint a house for an Indian family 3-4 yrs back

The dilapidated house
Lives a family of six
An ex-convict father
Their childhood seemed like a loner's road

An afternoon passed by
I helped work on the torn ceiling
The dust and cobwebs
A century's worth of untold tales

I saw the laughter through the tears
The pain behind those sunken eyes
Smiles revealed on their faces
Heart's in agony, so real...

My heart aches for them
For a father whose love was never there
Struggles they faced
I prayed it'll make them stronger each day

My duty was done
A makeover of the house
One last glance,
I walked away, heavy hearted..
Pondering where their future lies..

Something different from you. Mr. Green

So did you still keep in contact with them?

oceanic SG

used to.. but when i called e last time.. their number had changed and they had moved out.. :s

missed the kids Smile

oceanic SG

One last kiss
One last cry
One more chance
Will there ever be one

One last glance
One last moment shared
One more choice to make
If ever given a chance again

oceanic SG

The first teardrop, went unnoticed
The second teardrop, went unheard
The third teardrop, went unknown
The last teardrop, hidden in the midst of my teary eyes

Heart's heartbroken
Heart's yearning for an end
For an end that perhaps,
Will remain a mystery forever

oceanic SG

Just a kiss?
Or simply lust?
Just a wink?
Or simply flirting?

Just a date
Or an unknown motive?
Just a touch
Or simply a desire?

DeadPoet SG

Good questions. Mr. Green

Sometimes hard to tell between the two leh. Neutral

Just remember to bring your pepper spray with you okay.

oceanic SG

I want it never to end
To always be a part of me till everything cease
I want you by my side
Always with me till death arrives

I want the tears to stop flowing
To remind me how close you were once with me
I want you to know this
That I always love you no matter what it is.

Paul Celan

WIth a Variable Key

WIth a Variable Key
You unlocked the house in which
drifts the snow of that left unspoken.
Always what key you choose
depends on the blood that spurts
from your eye or your mouth or your ear
You vary the key, you vary the word
that is free to drift with the flakes
What snowball will form around the word
depends on the wind that rebuffs you

Found this when I searched for "The Pianist" website.. I think it's a very marvellous piece.. totally fell in love with it.

DeadPoet SG

Can u please explain to us the meaning of this poem? Mr. Green

DeadPoet SG

oic. Mr. Green

I read a few times, still not sure what he is trying to said. Wink

oceanic SG

but it's a pretty good piece isn't it?

DeadPoet SG

Well the flow is smooth stirring up your imagination as you read it.

But I just cant seem to direct my feelings towards a focus point. Wink

What is this poem trying to say? What is the meaning behind it?

To me it is important for a poem to bring its messages across to its audience. Maybe I am not up to the standard yet for I am not sure what the poet is trying to express.

It is like a beautifully decorated dish, taste great, but I have no idea what I am eating. Wink

oceanic SG

Hey i agree.. like e way u put it across. I guess I need someone pro to tell me wat it exactly mean as well. Wink

Desolate
Her life now revolves only in the home
Day after day
Counting till death draws near

Life seemed insipid
Her soul's aching
A gentle touch
Will break her vulnerable heart

oceanic SG

Pretend

I can't pretend
The end is drawing near
I can't hide anymore
The fact
I need to let u go soon

Only you
I had really loved
Only you
Could bring me joy

Understanding the reasons why
I had to leave, silently
Don't let it end
I wish I never have to

My heart's broken in two
Why must I still pretend?
My love is and will always be real and true
I love you
Forever and ever
I always will
This,
I can't pretend
