I recently signed up as a member in a US poetry forum. Upon
realizing I am from Singapore (via my self-introduction), someone
posted this comment,
Honorable sir,
Please remember me when you become a world leader. Your humble bow
toward the western world most likely goes un-noticed by most. We
are, all of us, a meandering stream of un focused lust. Vapid in
comparison to the careful movement of your culture. In other words,
if i could have invested two cents in your country at it's begining
I would own the world today. Every other culture is nothing more
than children playing in the sand. Yet we are fun, aren't
we?
If you were me, how would you react?
