The strawberry spoke to the owl
Wither thy feathers?
And it blushed a deep crimson
as the owl flapped his wings
and the good berry saw the down
every inch of it brown
Which was 1 foot below the bird's crown.

You guys remember what a haiku is? It's a very short poem with only three lines. The first and last line has five syllables, while the middle line had seven syllables.

I had an idea: why not write a full-length poem..... where every stanza is a haiku? Idea

I initially start this piece by explaining what a haiku basically is. As I wrote however, I somehow lost touch with reality and started blasting them apes (i.e. some of my peers) who mock what I'm doing.

To them poets are either show-offs or a freak of nature. I still can't believe that at their age (sixteen at that time) they can be so immature. Oh, well.... I can't hate them for that, can I? They're.... misguided, not evil.

This isn't a good poem. But of course, as I said earlier, I lost touch with reality halfway through. Mr. Green

A Different Poem

A different poem
Composed by yours-so-truly
It's called a haiku

Five on the first line
Seven on the second line
And five on the third

Full of hope and love
Packed with horror and mystery
Filled with much intrigue

I've had no regrets
Investing in these strange words
Expressing my thoughts

Yet people still smirk
At what I've been doing
Ignorant are they

If you're not a fool
Please do remember that I
Am not one either

little red box

i have decided to squeeze
all our memories
into that little red box
with carving of fanciful fairies
image of a fairy tale

this little red box used to
house both our engagement rings
now only one remain
which i will bring
when i meet you there

meanwhile

i will keep our little red box
closely by my side
caressing and defending it
furiously day and night
never letting it down

i will shower this little red box
with tears and love
as if it is our unborn child

stupid bugs fly in
my messy room
the fools rush in
right to their doom

with a rolled up 'paper
they all go SPLAT
as i swing away
and smash them flat

but still they come
attracted by the light
idiot bugs...
'tis your last flight

so the room is filled
with splattered yuck
each used to be
a foolish bug

but dang it all
the joke's on me
i've to clean it up
oh yuck oh bleeeeee

so there's a moral
in this tale to show
on a cool rainy night

i thought i saw myself today,
second row first car of the train,
that whizzed right before my eyes,
am i going insane.

i saw he looked at me too,
with eyes that showed terror,
as if he recognizes me,
like staring into a living mirror.

i wonder what it all means,
to see the other me of the whole?
maybe i am just seeing things.
or maybe the truth i behold?

I walk to the cybercage daily,
To spend my money on pleasure.
To play, be absorbed in ecstasy,
Then to reality snap back once more.

How incredible these pixels,
They deliver me much joy.
Pourin thru my eyes,
Seepin into my head.
I never cease to be excited.

I cut them with my swords!
