Christmas to me ,
is just a day in every single year
When everything I lack,
Is transformed into yearn
When all the outside world is laughing
and beyond my door is song,
Silence becomes soothing
And every hour is long
Her presence I sought,
and the presents I almost bought
If only I weren't so meek
Perhaps we again can meet
Told me you did,
That if we met,
Then coldfeet
would be all I'd get
But believe me
When I say I already know
About the realities of a white christmas
and its awful bitter cold
My feelings for her
Know do I,that they are unsure.
But Try I did,
to take back Christmas
and to quench this hunger
and that insatiable thirst
All I wanted ,
was to see Christmas
as something other than apocalypse
For approach does January the first
and the holiday is blowing its final kiss
Must all release come to a screeching halt
Must all good days and all good cease?
Wait,wait...slow down
stop that one man sleigh!
I havn't enjoyed my Christmas feast
the loads on my legs, tonnes they weigh
Havn't crossed out anything on my wishlist
Havn't said hello to the people I missed
I havn't smoothened out this crease
In santa's suit.
