Hi:
I have a hypothetical question about gender-different treatment
of teenagers in Chinese culture [majority of Singapore is
Chinese].
Let's say there is a high school in that aforementioned
location. There are 6 students playing a flash card game in which
the loser get a smack on his/her wrist with the middle and
index-fingers of the other players. This smack is a lot more
painful that one would think. Of the 6 students, 3 are girls, and 3
are boys. The girls are 14 years of age, while the boys are 15.
Here is what is noticed:
Here is my question:
In the above gaming situation, will boys ever hit the wrists of
loser girls? If not, then why? What would happen if a boy smacked
the wrist of a loser girl?
If a girl smells bad like the sh-t that resuls from eating
rotten fish, is it then acceptable for a boy to hit her wrist?
Do Chinese in SG know how to say "bad smell" in Tamil. You say
"naatho".
Thanks
