Ode To Mambong
When the toothy being
Totters about his realm of reams
And the fair and yellow
Mingle in the marketplace of our
College youth.
This is where I sink my roots
In the afternoon
Of Keats and Keynes
Sweating my brows
And
Cooling my skull.
Lovely paths snake their
Way
Out
Of
This
Edenesque
Projects
Of a nations repertoire
Look..a barista!
Pleats and Green
The shuffle of Prestos and
Classic German sneakers
Amass the shady trails and the
Steamy transport
Docks
Called bus-stops.
Gold and Blue
Baggy in their perennial
Season of uncouth suaveness
And sophisticated shabby locks
Loiter their uniqueness
Away in the palaces
Of our supreme
Unsaid
Freedoms.
The barriers came
Adorned with hornets
Colors, stung with
The blue of the law
A soft stick glowers
On the heartbeat
Of my mild rebellion.
Suffered by the monstrosity
Cooked by Saladins heirs.
