where can you find 2nd hand book stores, especially in the north area? Usually freq Sunny bookstore in Far east plaza or Sans bookstore in Suntec but been kinda lazy to journey downtown lately Mr. Green closest 1 i managed to find is in jubilee, amk.. any other reccomendations? esp in yishun/khatib area?

not sure abt Yishun.... usually i get me books from San Bookshop at Suntec because I think that is the san outlet with the biggest fantasy collection....

otherwise I'll just settle for brand new books from Borders or Kinokuniya cos I dun return my books anyway... I keep whatever i read so that I can read them all over again...

Because the books in the libraries are usually very limited in term of choices. Most of the books that I wanted are not available in the libraries. Wink

agree agree..... and usually, even if the libraries have the books, they are in rather used condition already with pages falling out or coffee stains etc... spoils the reading experience... keke

The NLB website allows you to search, reserve and pick up your book at a specified library for a chrage of about $1.50 per book.

An alternative to renting.

how about an alternative take on journalism?

ever read PJ O'Rourke? he's irreverant, almost irrelevant but gives you a perspective to what the heck is going on in the world... and you can't help but laugh at his words, think and then weep for the world...

his latest effort, Peace Kills, cuts to the bone of the whole situation now.. the alternative title is "America's Fun New Imperialism"...

recommended for those with a darker sense of humour... Wink

it's okay... i'll go get one at border's coz they said they were bringing it in again somewhen next week...

and it'll be then when i go hunt down some more books to read coz on the last 3 chapters of my last book, Eats Shoots and Leaves

all about punctuation... and a book i would recommend to anyone who wishes to write... before reading this book, i never realised how important punctuation can be... and how punctuation came to be... even my way of writing in email and online has been talked about Razz
