BEREAVEMENT
He sat alone, smoking his pipe, looking up the sky
mesmerized by the orange sunset
The sunset,a reflection of his sentiments
his mind would drift away with the orange beams
back to the days when she's still around
Good times were shortlived
She left this world while the sun was going down
The old man broke ties with the mirror
For the tears in his eyes he didn't want to see
it's been long since I've seen his face
Not till this morning when I finally did
He stood in front of the mirror
& gave me a tired smile
There we were, the old man & me
There we were,The Old Man-it's me.

This is a good poem. Very descriptive, I can easily pictured an
old man, alone, watching the sunset, thinking about his lost
love.
The ending, I like this kind of surprises.
But just one question, last 3 lines, what makes the old man looks
into the mirror again?
