I used to be a very very jealous person. Somehow dont know
when, how, why, I stop feeling jealous that easily.
But now I get irritated very easily. People walking very slowing in
front of me, irritate me.
Kana put on hold for a long time, irritate me.
People talking loudly in MRT, irritate me.
Becoming grumpy old man liao.

He who reigns himself and rules his passions, desires and fears is
more than a king. John Milton
He that ruleth his spirit is greater than he that taketh a city.
Self-mastery is the greatest task to which man has ever set his
hand. King Solomon
The first and best victory is to conquer self; to be conquered by
self is, of all things, the most shameful and vile.' Plato
In order to attain worthwhile achievement, we must first exercise
control of self. The reason that this has been such a difficult
task for us is because we have failed miserably to hold a just
appreciation of our capabilities. Our great potential for good has
been limited by the narrowness of our thinking. Self-development
can be achieved only after we resolve to control self through the
operation and control of our thoughts.
Many want to succeed but are not willing to pay the price. To
become an accomplished pianists, or skilled in anything, many
hours, days, weeks, months, yes, even years, must be spent at study
and practice. (DP: That includes your Maths formulas and
Chemistrys equations)
Constant practice of self-control is an important price we must pay
for all enduring success. By it we give value to time and money
instead of idly wasting or squandering either of them. (DP:
Okay, should I stop buying TOTO and 4D?) By it we develop
manliness and character and enjoy new dimensions of living.
(DP: Dont understanding this part)
To control self is to exercise the kingship of our
being.
In the exercise of this birthright we are the controller of our
passions, moods, emotions, and weakness, instead of one who is
controlled by them.
