MU does not fly MD 11s for pax ops. Only A330, A300, A320, A343,
A346 and B737. The MD 11s are for freighter ops. If you have
tri-holer fetish, you can still feast on the freighter a/cs such as
MU, Fedex, UPS, LH and recently Shangai Cargo bringing in their MD
11s. But for pax, it's still BGs ex-SQ birds which never seem to
arrive/depart on-time. Entering into one of them is like a blast
from the past.
The mosr rarest of tri-holers is the L1011. Saw it once a few
mths ago on a charter flight here. Absolute stunner. And as for
noisy engines, try standing near one of them when the engines are
running.
I also saw a L1011-500 into Singapore... Saudi Royal Flight
charter. Few months ago too.
