of course it will. but normally the sensor will sense that the plane is still on ground and will set out the alarm to inform the pilot.

The landing gear is designed failproof. Normally it runs electrical hydraulics, in the event this fails, the landing gear pops out mechanically on its own weight, but of course that's for the pilot to decide. Laughing

they often fold inwards so, friction might help it from being retracted

Almost all planes with retractable langing gear have some kind of swith that tells the system that the plane is on the ground. If working properly, it should prevent the gear from being retracted while on the ground.

there’s a safety pin either on the landing gear itself or on the switch. without the pins, the landing gear will retract if u really want it to and the plane will collapse.

Yes, the aircraft in question will become wheelchair-accessible. Cargolux, being one of the finest cargo airlines around currently, displays this amazing new capability not very long ago, to show that it can load/unload cargo without ground support. This translates into cheaper ground handling charges, and therefore possible savings for the airline and perhaps cheaper cargo charges for the customers.

Don’t know about other aircraft, but on the 744s(And probably on the 737s), it can if you want it to. Just disable the lock override on the landing gear lever and pull it up. You will also have to release the pin if one is attached. Accidents involving the gear going up by accident have happened in the past. Most are due to the pilot/ground crew error though.

tat is a weight on wheel (wow) logic.

on ground, the wow logic sends a signal to the landing gear to disconnect the gear retract solenoid i.e. there won't be any chance even the landing gear is retracted, the wheel will retract.

Hmm, if the hydraulic pressure drops, the a/c will stil stay on top of the wheels, but if the weight shifts, the gears would collapse...
Ever see planes parked for some days, the rear elevators will sag down? No more hydraulic pressure. Leave an a/c in Flight Simulator with engines off for sometime will get the same effect.
