First impressions about the A380?

Btw, I would like to know what were your first impressions about this superjumbo. For me, its slightly larger than the 747 and yes......huge interior space. The lift-off is tremendous too! Smile

For SIA A380's, most probably it will fly to europe via Australia. I think this agreement has not been finalised yet.....correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes, it will call at Heathrow.....will be using the new pier extension together with existing SQ planes. Does anybody know what SIA will be implementing for interior fixtures?

sia will start by flying the london-singapore-sydney route..

their a380 going to be less than 500 seats, instead of the default 555 airbus configuration, so should be very spacious..

Very wrong.

Singapore-Australia-Europe flights are currently impossible to certain points in Europe, even with the ultra-long range 772LR, let alone with the A380. Besides, there are no flights between Singapore and Europe via Australia. SQ is vying for a piece of the lucrative Australia-US routes, which the A380 will be deployed on if SQ got the rights.

SQ will be flying the A380 on the SIN-LHR-SIN and SIN-SYD-SIN, among others which includes SIN-LAX (via TPE and/or NRT).

Thanks for the correction. It is to US via Australia. SQ will use the A380 for LAX flights? How about the B777's?
