It should be a metal screw cover.

Yardley powder also different packaging back then.

my ah ma use to have that square box powder Laughing i rmb playing with it

The square box powder is now also very good for polishing up silver jewelleries.

Just put some powder on soft cotton cloth and use it to polish.
