Good morning all,
Does anyone know if i am required to have a registered
business/company to engage the services of a freight
forwarder/agent?
I am running an e-commerce business over various platforms,
shipping + taxes (if unavoidable) have always form the bulk of the
costs. As sales increases, air freight (door 2 door) is no longer a
viable option, since air freight cost is by weight instead of
volumn. My business is currently unregistered and still in its
infancy, and I have no intention to register it at the moment for
taxation reasons.
Currently shipping in goods about once every 1~2 months from
Korea, Taiwan and China. Estimated volumn is LCL, on average about
150 kg++/shipment from the various countries listed above. If I opt
for sea freight, any "methods" that i can use to save on the
7% GST? It seems easier to undervalue goods via air freight as less
documents are required. I'm not too sure though.
Any advice would be helpful, thanks!
