anyone noe where to buy point of sale machine online?

incase for those who do not noe wat is pos. it is a set of cashier machine which include barcode scanner,cash drawer,computer,sales software. something like ntuc that machine.

there are diff types for retail, F&B....

NTUC tat one is unless you’ve a chain outlet and you want to use the POS system to keep track of your inventory…

It’s very costly…

Reminds me… Never ever try linking your POS w/ NETS… Leave it as 2 seperate machines..

thanks i already check the links, but they nv show full system and price. i prefer they build one for me as i got no experience or wat type of system to go with.

if your NETS dun clear how? i.e. customer need to re-key pin number..

Then linked up POS can't allow u to clear next customer.

bcos it's not something u can buy off the shelf

u have to ask for quote based on wat kind of biz and the scale and they will recommend the combi of h/w and s/w, how many systems, whether indiv or linked...........then u will know the $$
there are also other things to consider like maintenance fees, s/w patches or upgrades, ink and paper refills

Dun go for thermal printing... Looks cheap, but paper beri expensive lol

For small scale, go for online one. A good programmer can do up the scirpts in less than two days. With all the functions you want, and even inventory functions, logistics etc.

Since you got no experience, go engage one of the contractors. They will do everything for you. They will study your requirements, give you the recommendations, install the hardware, train you to use the system, and provide maintenance service.

You just pay them and scold them.

When i was working in simlim last time,i've built some PCs intended for use as POS system

so I happen to know some people from sgcoders.com, they are programmers who design, program the software for POS systems.

IMO they take pride in their work, u can try contacting them for more info.
