Nowadays pasar malam really not fun at all.
Unlike the olden days where pasar malam is a good place to
walk.
The reasons are probably as follows:

20% are music stalls selling parallel imports and even pirated
CDs
10% sells clothes that really shouldn't be worn out in the
streets
5% of the stalls sells stuff that are probably Made in China, i.e.
durability in question
5% of the stalls sells Disney counterfeit
