I know it a bit rush but mine will be during weekdays... any one can recommend any place?

so u are actually having banquet with solemnization ceremony..........

it's actually good bcos many hotels lehlonging their weekday packages for 2009
which are some sort like the "leftovers" becos the hot dates are taken oredi

wats ur budget per table?
have u fixed the date?

pls note that weekday lunch means ppl have to take leave
and if early nov means sch exam period
so u may lugi a lot of attendance

ROM is always held on a weekday.

And you are doing lunch.

So high chance not many can attend.

Why not whit down your guest attendance to less then 30 for the lunch?

Most restaurants or hotels have rooms that can hold your immediate family members and friends to sit down for a decent meal.

sompah outside ROM can be on weekends or weekday nite
as long as JP is ok with the timing and location

That's we call Solomise Ceremony. You'll only need a Justice of Peace.

And can be done at any location, from your home to the restaurant.

All the Justice of Peace will require is a table, and 2 witnesses. Can also check with your clan, Association, Clubs for such Justice of Peace.

Safra Club itself has plenty of fellas there that are also Justice of Peace. Ask your boy to check over there too. So dont have to restrict yourself to only ROM and their Weekdays.

Yeah can understand sure lugi attendance... date will be Nov , not sure still can find or not, budget per table is 1k... but i heard my friend said buffet more affordable..

to find the venue, pls at least have a date or a few dates
and the no. of guests u are inviting...
or else the hotels and restorans oso cannot tell u whether they have the date or the room available to contain the no. of ppl.......

buffet or sit-down is usually the about the same lah
sit-down they charge by per table, buffet they charge by per head
eg. $680++ per table.... or $68++/pax

i dun suggest buffet if u have more than 80 pax
becos it's gonna be quite messy to have so many people walking around and fetching food.......
then if u wanna give speech or play video or wat, it's very difficult get them all to sit down.......

there are budget ways to do it
but i think a lot of couples (and/or their parents) want "face"

and "face" needs $$$$$$$
