Singtel data plan exceed by 2gb! Help!

I have a 12GB iphone plan ($39), iflexi lite I think.. I downloaded movies and exceeded by 2GB. How much will that be? My parents will kill me when they find out :s
I thought they have a cap at $30? Why was I allowed to continue using so much!
If it’s too much, is it possible to persuade singtel to waive the fee or discount? Sad
