Fann Wong rumoured to be pregnant
The MediaCorp actress, who is said to be in her first trimester of
pregnancy, is currently taking a break from work
If the rumours are true, local actors Christopher Lee and Fann Wong
will welcome a “horse” baby this year.
According to an insider from showbiz, MediaCorp Ah Jie Fann Wong is
said to be expecting her first child with Chris and is in her first
trimester of pregnancy. Said insider revealed that the couple have
yet to announce the news due to “Chinese pregnancy taboos” that
consider it inauspicious to announce one’s pregnancy during the
first trimester.
In response to these rumours, a representative from Fann’s
management agency, Catwalk Asia, shared that Fann has been on “a
long break” since Christmas last year. She also explained that
Catwalk is only in charge of managing their artistes’ work
schedules and “do not interfere” in their personal
lives.
Catwalk’s rep also shared that Fann “personally requested” to go on
a long break this time around and would resume work “once she finds
a good movie or drama script.”
“We will definitely share the good news [if Fann is pregnant] with
everyone,” she added.
Since Fann signed a contract with Catwalk Asia early last year, she
has been based overseas for long periods of time for work. On top
of participating in overseas drama productions, she has also made
numerous commercial appearances at fashion and
entertainment-related events.
Fann and her actor hubby Chris are currently in Singapore to
celebrate her 43rd birthday (which is coincidentally today) and to
spend the upcoming Chinese New Year celebrations with their
families. The couple are said to have been trying for a baby since
they got married in September 2009.
Fann’s husband, Chris, and the couple’s good friend and celebrity
hairstylist, David Gan, could not be reached for comments at press
time.
