Actually, it is a pretty known fact that most watch companies, buy movements mass produced these days, to keep up with their production. They buy the movements, but they try to customise it to their standards.

Even the Ball watches I buy, they get their movements from a third party, and they don't hide that fact, hence they keep the prices of their watches down. Excluding the limited editions, none of their watches go above 6k.

go for the planet ocean, good rugged, 43/45mm time piece

or the still highly popular seamaster bond series, think they still have them in a revised version at Omega outlets.. or you can get one for a fairly reasonable price at 2nd hand watch shops

Its limited edition, and its $7700 when I last checked, if you buy at omega outlet, they won't give you more than 15% off. But then its limited edition, they shouldn't even give any % off.

So I thought, I might as well just top up $3000 more, and get a rolex deepsea, at my dealer.

Omega to me is like the tag heuer of america, overpriced, overproduced.

Yeah, ever since these brand boutiques popped up, they have been pretty stingy with their discounts..

There's a particular Apollo Omega that has been sitting at a watch dealer in Funan for quite sometime now it's 9.9k iirc
