Catknight SG It's confirmed that media asia will remake the movie that propelled Leslie cheung and joey wong in the chinese cinema ...the cast is Miriam yeung and Huang xiaoming..donnie yen was approached too but his manager said he turned down a role in the upcoming remake....I've got a feeling the remake if not done properly will not be a disservice to Leslie cheung who played the feeble scholar well....
Catknight SG I think a sequel will be on the pipeline if well received by us loh....media asia owned by SG we shld support no?
Catknight SG miriam yeung too 搞笑 to be 小倩 黄小明 does not look toot enuf to be 宁采臣I dun think anyone is able to reprise the roles by Leslie Cheung, joey wong and Wu ma..even donnie yen rejected one the the roles
The man who was death SG the most impt thing is the umbrella....it's like serial killers' masks...prop dun do well spoil the whole thing...
Catknight SG I wonder if HK can revive their film industry without cantonese ,will potonghua spell the demise of a dialect culture that gave us Chinese ghost story?
Catknight SG The last of the chinese ghost story saga ...with tony leung how to continue? I don't know abt media asia:) but without a strong cast....I doubt the success
hasene SG It's confirmed that media asia will remake the movie that propelled Leslie cheung and joey wong in the chinese cinema ...the cast is Miriam yeung and Huang xiaoming..donnie yen was approached too but his manager said he turned down a role in the upcoming remake....I've got a feeling the remake if not done properly will not be a disservice to Leslie cheung who played the feeble scholar well....don't like the castwhateve, nothing beats original in any film.
Catknight SG It's about talent...sometimes I wonder with such a huge populace like mainland china,,,,you will find people like leslie cheung and tsui hark....but actors and directors that's talented & able to flow and work well are rare
hasene SG Heard that joey wong now a nun after retiring from showbiz....such is life sigh News about her last year. She is enjoying life now. Not true that she is a nun.
