The Cheung household was recently felled by the
hand-foot-and-mouth disease. Everyone from the adults to the kids
had the runs and was feverish.
The hand-foot-and-mouth disease which is present all year round
is most infectious and virulent amongst toddlers and kids. It is
ranked as one of the most potent and deadly disease in Hong
Kong.
At a charity performance a few nights ago, Jacky revealed that
his two daughters are both down with said disease. The doting
father said that they have been feverish for the past two days and
are having the runs.
As both Jacky and his wife, May Lo, have been caring and nursing
the girls back to health, the two adults have also fallen prey to
the potent virus. The 48-year-old suffered slight vomiting symptoms
and added that his wife had it harder with full-blown symptoms.
To prevent the disease from spreading, Jacky's kids have not
been attending school since falling ill. He reassured that the
family is now "doing well" and lamented that there is nothing they
can do except remind their children to be careful.
