HONG KONG - Singer- actress Gillian Chung of Hong
Kong girl duo Twins is finally going solo - to
Hollywood.
After months of lying low following her involvement in Hong
Kong's sex photo scandal in January, Chung took off last Saturday
to the United States, reportedly to audition for an Oliver Stone
movie.
She had stopped work since February after nude photos of her
taken by actor Edison Chen hit the Internet, leaving Twins' other
member Charlene Choi to appear at public functions alone.
At the airport, Chung, who had been learning dancing and English
while awaiting her comeback, looked fit but did not answer
reporters' questions.
According to Oriental Daily, she is believed to be meeting Stone
for his war movie Pinkville, which is about the investigation of
the 1968 My Lai massacre in Vietnam.
Stone is said to be in search of Asian actors for the movie
which stars Bruce Willis.
Chung's manager Mani Fok confirmed that the actress was meeting
a Hollywood director.
But she dismissed new rumours that Twins had broken up, saying:
'Twins have always had separate work commitments.'
