Exclusive Interview: AVI ARAD REVEALS THAT SPIDER-MAN 3 HAS
A FOURTH VILLAIN
Producer talks Venom, Sandman, Green Goblin and
who else?
The day before Avi Arad and Marvel announced that he was becoming
an independent producer for them, iF MAGAZINE caught up with Arad
and cornered him on details about the currently filming SPIDER-MAN
3 movie. iF was able to confirm what we had already heard from
undisclosed sources that there is indeed a FOURTH as of yet unnamed
villain in the Spidey flick!
iF MAGAZINE: What is the reason for the costume change in
SPIDER-MAN 3?
AVI ARAD: We still have the red costume. We have both, which is the
art of metaphors.
iF: Why not the black costume from the comic with the big white
spider?
ARAD: We reserved the white spider for something else.
iF: Have you and Sam Raimi talked about films beyond SPIDER-MAN
3?
ARAD: All we care about at the moment is doing a masterful number
3.
iF: There are four villains this time, Venom, Sandman, and Green
Goblin and when is the fourth going to be revealed?
ARAD: Right we have four villains. Pretty soon [well reveal the
fourth villain] I believe. Maybe around Comic Con well reveal
something and the madness will begin.
