If you got listen to Akon's "Smack That" and you paid attention to it's lyrics, he sang about the Lamborghini Gallardo..and he pronounced it Ga-llar-do..I was rolling my eyes when I heard it..He sang about it when he doesn't even know how to pronounce it properly.. Laughing

I just saw a Lambo Gallardo Superleggera..yes the Orange coloured with the signature Superleggera vinyls running along Sin Ming Ave @ 1115pm.

Wooo...very delicious! The driver was making rounds along Ai tong school and Bishan park sec.

It seriously depends on what you are pronouncing..if it's english words, I understand the difference in pronunciation between American and British english..

But when it comes to words that are in other languages, the pronunciation of that word, eg Gallardo, should be respected..meaning we should pronounce Gallardo as Ga-yar-do because this is how it should be pronounced in Italian..we should not pronounce it like how we pronounce english words because Gallardo is not even english.. Wink

Bit off topic, but on a similar note, an interesting topic is how people say the Ferrari model numbers. Was a big discussion topic on their forums

360 - 'Three Sixty' or 'Three Six Zero'?
612 - 'Six Twelve' or ' Six One Two'?
575 - 'Five Seventy Five' or 'Five Seven Five'?
355 - 'Three Fifty-five' or 'Three Five Five'?

Now this is dependent on cultures..like in Singapore, we like to say '360' as 'three six zero'..but to americans and britons, they say it as 'three sixty'..just like Nokia's advertisements..the narrator usually say the model number as, for example 'eighty-eight hundred' for 8800 instead of saying 'eight eight zero zero'..

Depends on which way sounds nicer I guess... I'd use 'three sixty" and "four thirty", but "six one two", "three five five" and "five seven five" for the rest... Hehe... kinda realised as I was writing this that all of these have 3 syllables... maybe that's why they sound nice.. hehe... any more than that and it can't go well with "Fer ra ri"...

yes my post is also OT but i wish to point out that the Canon EOS400D is a better deal for $200 more because the d40 and d40x lack a autofocus motor inside the camera which means that u have to use EF-S lens for autofocus functionility.EF lens u have to manual focus then
