Lambo Gallardo is retailing for about S$800,000 to S$820,000 in
Singapore, a Murcielago is about S$1.18million..prices may
fluctuate depending on currency conversion rate and COE price..the
reason why a car becomes so hideously expensive when it comes to
the shore of Singapore because I remember there's a tax that the
govt. impose on new cars, it's a cool 110%..
So if you say a Lambo Murcielago is US$300,000 in the US, just
convert it to S$ and it's already S$450,000..add the 110% tax and
it's already S$945,000 without road tax, insurance and COE..add
these and the profit that the official dealer earns and it becomes
S$1.18million approx..
Added: I would guess after adding road tax, insurance and COE to
the S$945,000 it's about S$1million..so maybe the dealer earns
about S$180,000..
