laurence82 SG just a qn.. after reformating my c drive which contains my system files, will it affect in anyway my files in other hard drives? especially those word or excel files..
sidestep1984 SG u got 3 jars of cookies...u finish one jar...the other 2 jars never touch....what do u think then?
laurence82 SG because when i format the system files, which contain program like excel and word, i wonder whether it would affect the word and excel files in anyway in other drives..
sidestep1984 SG u format a drive.. not a filetype.. anywaes...my advice is... OS...programs in one drive....documents in others....documents are important to a person....perishable.. the OS and programs..if u format...u reinstall everything...still works the same... rather than u put OS and programs in separate drives......keep it in one....easier to maintain in the future........
_Aaron_ SG Ah! I just formatted... Then my Cable modem ... my computer cannot detect... Can't go internet! Anyone knows the equilvalent of "Winipcfg" for windows XP ? I was using 98. Thanks~
bismarck SG this is waht i use to type when i encounter connection probs go to ms prompt type in ipconfig /flushdns ipconfig /release ipconfig /renew the flush dns part can do until yr keyboard crack...
_Aaron_ SG Anyways i unplugged the modem, plug in and rebooted. It worked... But the flushing thing is for what one?
bismarck SG oops didnt see this uunplugging is 1 way...used to do it, now just do the ip thing cant rememeber what the flushdns thing is abt...
