SINGAPORE : Singapore sports fans now have reason to
cheer.
From Saturday, they can catch Team Singapore in action at the 18th
Commonwealth Games in Melbourne on MediaCorp TV and TV
Mobile.
Earlier this month, MediaCorp TV cited the high broadcast fees and
satellite charges for not showing the Commonwealth Games.
Now, thanks to a collaboration between MediaCorp TV, the Media
Development Authority, the Community Development, Youth and Sports
Ministry and the Singapore Sports Council, viewers can catch daily
highlights of the event at 2pm with another update at 5pm.
The closing ceremony will be aired live on March 26 at 5pm. -
