The influence of movie

icyprincess SG

Lately I have discovered a trend in movies…almost always a girl will start to have sex wif the guy in the movie like after the second or third time they meet each other. Maybe this is putting the pressure on the teenagers nowadays to have sex after a short time of knowing each other. What do you think?

the Bear SG

actually, art imitates life.. over there...

then here... life imitates art...

frankly, if the teens have any sense, they'd make their own minds up instead of blindly following trends...

silly things, trends... they allow people to be swept up in herd instinct... and they stop making decisions for themselves... a kind of diminished responsibility..

i guess, they ought to stop being part of the herd..

no lah.its been like this in movies for years...

sex sells tickets!

icyprincess SG

well if you watch movies from an older era, the sex thing is not so obvious.

it depends loh.
i do know that moi fren's fren had sex wif her bf juz a couple of days after they r attached!
some did it out of insecurity
some did it for fun
it was a sad ting.
especiali wen u see how the guy treats the gal ltr....
among moi frens
we do discus abt such stuf pretty openly

we r shocked to know that many ppl whom we know did it.
in a relationship, we believe that sex isn't part of it. till u'r ready for the consequences
it's pretty saddenin to know how some people take sex for.

att to girls: if ur guy wana haf sex, u can always ask him go geylang instead of gettin it from u.

Patrik SG

They have to pay if they go to Geylang. Here they dun have to pay anything.

That's the danger of medias such as this. It can, in a way, influence unprotected minds of young teens and imature youths.

However, it'll be good to enforce values such as living a righteous life and discplining oneself with self-control.
