Although vitally important, recent medical advances have
brought mankind a false sense of security. Medicine is viewed as a
safe substance that can quickly treat illnesses. Many do not
realize the harm that can accompany such treatment. Unfortunately,
a side-effect free treatment is a rarity. And once the immune
system is damaged, the road to recovery is a long and difficult
one.
Only the immune system knows exactly how, when and where
to take appropriate action to resolve our illness, pain or fatigue.
Unlike the immune system, drugs can only achieve a single purpose,
such as stimulating the immune system or suppressing it. Drugs are
also very often accompanied by harmful side effects. Sometimes,
these side effects are even more dangerous than the conditions that
demand treatment.
Even non-prescription drug labels caution against
overdose and other adverse effects, forcing consumers to face tough
decisions regarding their health.
