Why not? I believe we have many examples of people whose
partners are not their ideal ones, but someone else who is
not-so-ideal. Watched the MediaCorp show, "You Are The One"?

Look at the Raymond See and Meiman. 
But frankly speaking, more often than not, we're faced with this
situation:
a) The girl loves the boy >> boy loves the girl.
b) The boy loves the girl >> girl loves the boy.
In the end, they still get hitched!
