extremex SG Wayne Rooney produced a stunning debut to blow Fenerbahce away at Old Trafford. The young England striker hit a hat-trick of the highest order on his bow - the first of his career - to fire Manchester United to an impressive 6-2 victory. Wayne Rooney was electrified upon his debut at Old Trafford and Ferguson hailed him as the best in England? Will this give him a chance to start in Fergie's first 11? - Liverpool, however, fell to defeat at Olympiakos with Ieroklis Stoltidis grabbing the winning goal in the 17th minute. Liverpool's home form will decide group, says Benitez. Both will go through Group Stages? Or only Man Utd? Only Liverpool? Looks like Liverpool is still not ready yet for European Champions League aren't they?
mercutioz SG All 3 English teams will move on thru the 2nd round, altho Liverpools looks touch n go at the moment, but like wat Ben says, win all 3 home matches n u r halfway there, so only got 2 more home matches 2 go…
the Bear SG when making a food run at work, saw Rooney's 1st goal at the kopitiam... it was one heck of a goal! this guy's got talent.. hopefully, he'll not drive down the road of debauchery and wreck it all like George Best...
798 SG actually i can sense rooney will score a bagful of goals this season.might be the top scorers in EPL. Fergason is smart to make him debut against weak team to gain his confidence.
extremex SG a pity newcastle didnt get him... but i expected him to be a great person.. just that everton not feeding him quality balls.. thats why goals are limited when he is in everton.. now he is at man utd.. who will deny him many many goals
kopiosatu SG did u guys see how the greeks play? woohoo, great lessons from rivaldo... not for the football skills
Nelstar SG I think Funguson will sparingly use Rooney. RvN + Smith RvN + Rooney Rotation... soon, RvN sold off... and Smith + Rooney. The new best England partnership for strike force.
kopiosatu SG u should have seen it... the player claims for penalty and when he doesn't get it, he goes down injured. anyway the greeks played very dirty, oh well... its alright to lose this way. I rather have a cleaner team than them
sillyme SG liverpool consistently inconsistent leh.. this morning's game was horrendous.. they can't play the ball to effectiveness.. kns man.. actually warnock also didn't play well, he's guilty of either passing to empty space or players who are already marked.. as for rooney.. still to early to say.. he's young, who knows how he'll develop.. look at beckham now.. he got all the attention when he was in man utd in his younger days.. now that he's playing another team, his weaknesses are exposed..
Nelstar SG I still can remember how amazing defoe jumped up immediately after being kicked down by silvestre. Then ref award free kick to spurs... A beautiful match, but only lacked goals.. and spurs lost
