Real Madrid have completed the signing of Liverpool striker
Michael Owen after he passed a medical, and he will be unveiled on
Saturday. Owen has moved to the Bernabeau for a fee of £8m, with
Antonio Nunez moving in the oppostie direction. Owen had just one
season remaining on his contract at Anfield but after talks over a
new deal stalled, Rafael Benitez admitted he would leave. But
Patrick Vieira is to stay with Arsenal because his ties with the
club were 'too strong to break'.
