Hi all,

Any thoughts about the grand ending of the "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows"?

Personally, I felt it's great.

I had guessed wrong for most of the parts, except that I thought Snape liked Lily Evans.

There are a few things which I may have missed, so here are the questions:

1) How does Neville get the Sword of Gryffindor from Griphook?
2) So do the trio items of the Deathly Hallows actually can help defy death if used properly? Or is it just a legend?

In my humble opinion, Severus Snape is the most realistic character. He seems almost like a Singaporean, cynical, mercenary, anti-social, but full of love inside. Very Happy

Love is the greatest magic of all.

I really like the fact that J.K. Rowling used the above theme in her books, and I believe that is one of the reasons why Harry Potter is a global phenomenon.

Love, sacrifice, redemption ....

Some examples..

The love Snape has for Lily is what kept Harry safe, and enabled the latter to finish the task of ridding Voldermort.

The love Narcissa Malfoy has for her son is what prevents Harry from being hit by another Avada Kedavra, which will end his life once and for all. And that love redeems the Malfoys.

The love Lily has for Harry, of course... that casts the rebound of the killing curse.

The love Harry has for his friends, including Dobby, and that enabled him to master Occlumency at last...

and countless other examples...

No leh... It's because Harry already became master of the Elder Wand, hence the wand refused to use the killing curse against him.

Answer to first, no, he didn't get it from Griphook. He was wearing the Sorting Hat at the time, remember? It's the same way Harry drew the sword in Chamber of Secrets. If there's only one sword at a time, well, then I guess Griphook must be hopping mad.

Second, the Deathly Hallows are just the Elder Wand, the Resurrection Stone (Marvolo's ring) and the Invisibility Cloak. The tales and legends were probably meant to make them seem great and powerful, but they are just very powerful magical objects in reality.

Snape's cool. The only true anti-hero of the series.
