Newcastle United striker Shola Ameobi could be available before the
end of the season.
Ameobi is ready to start running after his hip operation last year
and club physios are optimistic he could play before the end of the
season, although, like Owen, his return to the first team will not
be rushed.
Ameobi, 25, played 14 games before travelling to the United States
for surgery in November, and he scored three League goals and two
in their UEFA Cup campaign.
